“Livin’ La Vida Loca” is a dynamic metal cover of Ricky Martin’s classic hit, brought to life by the band Klynt. This music video takes viewers on a wild journey through the labyrinth of one night’s events experienced by an outcast metalhead, affectionately dubbed the “most hated man in metal.” The video offers a cheeky and satirical take on the elitist and often disapproving attitudes within the metal community.
Produced in collaboration with the collective [ a r t e f v k k t ], the video features innovative POV-style shots that immerse the audience in the protagonist’s unique and unpredictable adventure. We employed clever solutions to capture the essence of the journey and the unexpected companionship the outcast finds outside the metal scene, turning his quest into an engaging and humorous narrative.
The music video’s playful approach contrasts sharply with the traditional metal community’s rigid norms, highlighting the outcast’s surprising connections and experiences. The clever use of POV-style cinematography enhances the viewer’s connection to the protagonist’s journey, making “Livin’ La Vida Loca” a standout piece in my portfolio.
